Where Together We Grow

Stained Glass

The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church

is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of all people by spreading Christ’s liberating gospel through word and deed. At every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the AME Church evolved: that is, to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy.

Ways to Give

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)

Currently, we are led by Bishop Reginald Thomas Jackson and Supervisor Christy Davis Jackson, Esq., who are servant leaders and dedicated to the teaching of the Gospel. We encourage you to take time to learn and engage with the Second Episcopal District website below.

The Eastern District of the Western North Carolina Conference

Mount Sinai is a church that is able to live out the mission of the local church because of its connection to the auspices of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Our Church is strengthened through its relationship to the Western North Carolina Conference and our Presiding Elder District, led by the Reverend Dr. A. Qismat Alim.
